Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Friday made a strong pitch for the use of artificial intelligence and social media in the working of parliaments.
Birla made these remarks while chairing the standing committee meeting of the Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of Parliaments of Commonwealth Countries (CSPOC) in Guernsey.
India is hosting the 28th CSPOC next year.
Birla said India is witnessing massive transformation in several sectors, such as agriculture, fintech, AI, and research and innovation.
He said delegates attending the CSPOC would experience a unique blend of heritage and progress of the country.
Last year, the Lok Sabha adopted artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies to enhance the accessibility of parliamentary proceedings to lawmakers.
These cutting-edge technologies are used to provide regional language translations for Members of Parliament and make available parliamentary papers in different languages.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police which is probing the Torres investment scam has seized Rs 5 crore in cash, deposited by investors, from a Torres jewellery store in Dadar and a flat in the city, an official said on Friday.
The estimate of the total amount involved in the scam stood at Rs 22 crore, he said.
The seizure was made during searches on Thursday.
Some investors had handed cash to the company for making deposits after encountering snags in its online system, the official said.  As much as Rs 77 lakh were recovered from a flat rented by Tania alias Tazagul Karaxanovna Xasatova (52), one of the accused, in Colaba in south Mumbai.
Xasatova worked as a general manager at the Torres store, the official said.  Police also recovered over a thousand 'precious stones'. While the company charged its investors thousands of rupees for these stones, their actual value was around Rs 300 apiece, he said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted on Sunday that the capabilities of India's young population will power the country's rise to becoming developed.
Addressing the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue here, he said some people may find the goal of India becoming developed difficult but it is not impossible.
No power can stop India from becoming a developed country if the spirit of 'Viksit Bharat' guides its every step, policy and decision, he said, highlighting the strength and numbers of the country's young population.

Aircraft battling fires raging through the Los Angeles area are dropping more than water -- hundreds of thousands of gallons of hot-pink fire suppressant ahead of the flames in a desperate effort to stop them before they destroy more neighbourhoods.

A large portion of southwest California spanning eight counties around Los Angeles is under a red flag warning for extreme fire danger through Wednesday.
Certain areas of LA and Ventura counties, including valleys, foothills and mountains throughout the Santa Monica and Santa Susana ranges, were in what the National Weather Service calls a "particularly dangerous situation".
The Palisades and Eaton fires are burning on the southern side of that area, and hurricane-force winds are forecast to return on Tuesday.
